Zdenek Pulec, Pavel Vitoch & Comp. - Evergreens in Brass (1984)

Zdenek Pulec from Prague (September 9, 1936 - June 12 2010)  was one of the leading jazz musicians in Czechia. He was an extraordinary tombone player who was although a regular member of the The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra (one of the most important, and most long-established, of Czech orchestras.). He played in this orchestra between 1958 - 2001 (a very long time !).

He recorded as view solo-albums (all published on the Supraphon label).

Pavel Vitoch (born Jul 10, 1934) was another jazz musician fom Czechia. Like Zdenek Pulec he played in many orcheatras as a trumpet player.

Together they recorded this great album; Evergreens in Brass is a fantastic tribute to the old days of jazz and you can hear many greast songs from Gershwin, Ellington or Irving Berlin.

If you are interested in the "golden era of jazz" you should listen to this rare and beautoful album !
