The Beatniks - Same (1967)

The British invasion in the United States led by the Beatles splattered all South America and many bands emulated or made the covers of them.

In Chile, curiously is seen that the various currents of the English Beat were not exactly the Beatles who most influenced.

The Rolling Stones hit sound much stronger in bands like the Jockers, Mac `s broken glass or influence on the psychedelic Yardbirds, well another great band quite influential were the Kinks and the Beatniks took care to sound like them.

Unfortunately only recorded this album with covers of Ray Davies (most of the material was taken from the "Face To Face"album) and one song from Van Morrison ("Gloria" of course). A pretty good sound for a very interesting band.

This a nice and funny recording ... sometimes you´ll hear, why the original recordings are much better ... but ...enjoy this journey into the past "!
